CSC Announcement: Civil Service Exams in August 2022 & Application Deadlines

Did you miss the Civil Service examination schedules for last March and this June 2022? Don’t worry because the CSC (Civil Service Commission) conducts tests several times a year.

According to a recent official announcement posted on the CSC’s Facebook page, there will be a Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for Professional and Subprofessional Levels on August 7, 2022.

The application period for these tests (both levels) will be from June 2 to 16, 2022.

This application period also applies to the Intermediate Competency on Local Treasury Examination, the advisory announced.

Important Announcement

VERY IMPORTANT: The commission recommends for all interested examinees to inquire and coordinate with their nearest CSC Regional offices or any field office where they intend to take the examination.

These offices might have different rules, exact procedures, filing venues, and specific modes of filing for the exams.

NCR Tests Only for Examinees of Cancelled 2020 Test

For example, the CSE-PPT in the National Capital Region (NCR) will only be limited to the examinees of the canceled March 15, 2020 CSE-PPT who weren’t able to take the test yet or haven’t claimed their exam refund.

Unrefunded examinees can choose from these two options:

  • 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟏 – 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 𝐂𝐒𝐄-𝐏𝐏𝐓 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞
  • 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐 – 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝.

According to the CSC’s NCR office, those who choose Option 1 are required to submit a new set of application, including their latest ID picture and other requirements to the Examination Services Division or CSC NCR or the nearest CSC Field Office.

Take note, however, that if fail to take the schedule on August 7, 2022, you’ll forfeit your exam fees. You can no longer request for rescheduling or postponement of your exam.

Those who prefer Option 2 still have up to March 14, 2025, to request a refund with CSC NCR.
