The CSC (Civil Service Commission) announced the schedules for the 2023 civil service exams for the CSE-PPT (Career Service Examination, Pen and Paper Test) for the Professional and Sub-Professional levels.
Weโve prepared this guide to provide you with more information in how to file or register if youโre interested in taking this exam.
Take note of these schedules (but this can vary by area or close early if the target number of applicants is reached before the deadline):
1. March 26, 2023 (CSE-PPT) Exam
Application Period: December 22, 2022- January 25, 2023 (Monday to Friday only)
2. August 13, 2023 (CSE-PPT) Exam
Application Period: May 15, 2023- June 14, 2023
3. Special application period for unrefunded examinees (canceled March 15, 2022, CSE-PPT): from December 14-21, 2022, for the March 26, 2023, CSE-PPT schedule)

1. Create an account using https://ocseas.csc.gov.ph.
IMPORTANT: An applicant should only have ONE ACCOUNT and it must be linked to an active email address.
2. Activate your application through email by clicking on the confirmation/activation message.
3. Log in to https://ocseas.csc.gov.ph using your new login credentials.
4. Edit your profile (system requirement).
IMPORTANT: Double-check that you entered the correct data on the form before clicking โUpdate Profileโ.
5. Choose the testing center chosen level of the exam on the dashboard.
TIP: You can see all the available slots for every testing center.
6. Enter the required details on the CS Form No. 100. (Download Application Form no. 100 For (CSE) Civil Service Examinationย (Revised Sept. 2016)
7. Scan all the required documents and save it as a .jpeg file (must NOT exceed 5MB).
IMPORTANT: Ensure you attach the correct file using the specific link because errors can result in the disapproval of your application.
8. Choose your preferred Regional Office or Field Office for the personal appearance, then upload the required documents before clicking SUBMIT.
9. Check the status of your application (should be โSUBMITTEDโ) to see if you were able to successfully upload the documents.
10. Once your application is approved, youโll receive an email with your OCSEAS account (online civil service examination application system). At this point, the status will change to โFOR PAYMENT.โ
11. Choose your preferred date for the personal appearance and payment of your exam application (must be within two (2) days the application is evaluated).
Failure to do this can mean forfeiture of your slot.
12. Be at your preferred Regional Office or field office on your scheduled appointment.
